2015 Golden Globes Predictions

RED if I got it wrong. Overall I didn't predict that well, especially when it came to TV.

Best Motion Picture – Drama
Boyhood
Foxcatcher
The Imitation Game
Selma
The Theory of Everything

I think this category could go either way with Boyhood or Selma winning. However, I am going to go with Boyhood.

Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama
Steve Carell – Foxcatcher
Benedict Cumberbatch – The Imitation Game
Jake Gyllenhaal – Nightcrawler
David Oyelowo – Selma
Eddie Redmayne – The Theory of Everything

I think Jake Gyllenhaal should win it, I've just got a feeling that it's going to be Eddie Redmayne.

Best Actress in a Motion Picture- Drama
Jennifer Aniston – Cake
Felicity Jones – The Theory of Everything
Julianne Moore – Still Alice
Rosamund Pike – Gone Girl
Reese Witherspoon – Wild

Rosamund Pike deserves it! She was amazing as Amy. The only other person I see having a chance is Reese Witherspoon.

Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical
Birdman
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Into the Woods
Pride
St. Vincent

As much as I love The Grand Budapest Hotel, I think Birdman is going to take it.

Best Actor in a Motion Picture- Comedy or Musical
Ralph Fiennes – Grand Budapest Hotel
Michael Keaton – Birdman
Bill Murray – St. Vincent
Joaquin Phoenix – Inherent Vice
Christoph Waltz – Big Eyes

What a category! I haven't seen St. Vincent, but the other four are all amazing in my opinion. I think Michael Keaton will win, but I will not be surprised if someone else took it. I would be satisfied with any of these men winning

Best Actress in a Motion Picture- Comedy or Musical
Amy Adams – Big Eyes
Emily Blunt – Into the Woods
Helen Mirren – The Hundred Foot Journey
Julianne Moore – Maps to the Stars
Quvenzhané Wallis – Annie

Amy Adams and Emily Blunt are my finalists, I'm going to take Emily Blunt by a hair.

Best Director
Wes Anderson – Grand Budapest Hotel
David Fincher – Gone Girl
Ava DuVernay – Selma
Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu – Birdman
Richard Linklater – Boyhood

Another incredibly tough category to predict. I honestly think anyone of these directors could win. I'm going to go with Richard Linklater since Boyhood was filmed in a 12 year span.

Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture
Robert Duvall – The Judge
Ethan Hawke – Boyhood
Edward Norton – Birdman
Mark Ruffalo – Foxcatcher
J.K. Simmons – Whiplash

If J.K. Simmons doesn't win, I'll be very very shocked.

Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture
Patricia Arquette – Boyhood
Jessica Chastain – A Most Violent Year
Keira Knightley – The Imitation Game
Emma Stone – Birdman
Meryl Streep – Into the Woods

Whether she'll win it or not, I'm not sure. But I hope its Emma Stone. She was fantastic in Birdman and I think she deserves to it. The safe pick in my opinion would be Keira Knightley.

Best Screenplay
Wes Anderson – The Grand Budapest Hotel
Gillian Flynn – Gone Girl
Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris, Armando Bo – Birdman
Richard Linklater – Boyhood
Graham Moore – The Imitation Game

Another tough group to decide, I'm picking what I think is the safe choice. But I think any one of these movies could take it.

Best Animated Feature
Big Hero 6
The Book of Life
Boxtrolls
How to Train Your Dragon 2
The Lego Movie

It will surely be How to Train Your Dragon 2 or The Lego Movie.

Best Foreign Film
Force Majeure (Turist), Sweden
Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem Gett, Israel
Ida, Poland/Denmark
Leviathan, Russia
Tangerines (Mandariinid), Estonia

I have yet to see any of these films, so this is a completely blind guess.

Best Original Song – Motion Picture
Big Eyes – Big Eyes (Lana Del Ray)
Glory – Selma (John Legend, Common)
Mercy Is – Noah (Patti Smith, Lenny Kaye)
Opportunity – Annie (Greg Kurstin, Sia Furler, Will Gluck)
Yellow Flicker Beat – Hunger Games, Mockingjay Part 1 (Lorde)

Best Original Score – Motion Picture
Alexandre Desplat – The Imitation Game
Johann Johannsson – The Theory of Everything
Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross – Gone Girl
Antonio Sanchez – Birdman
Hans Zimmer – Interstellar

I'll be quite surprised if Hans Zimmer doesn't take it. The score for Interstellar was fantastic.

Best Actor – TV Drama
Clive Owen – The Knick

Fargo might have a chance.

Best Actor – TV Miniseries or Movie

How does one pick between McConaughey and Harrelson is True Detective? Both did an amazing job.

Best Actress – TV Miniseries or Movie
Maggie Gyllenhaal – The Honorable Woman
Jessica Lange – American Horror Story: Freak Show
Frances McDormand – Olive Kitteridge
